Frequently Asked Questions

Grading

A: Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) is the largest and most trusted third-party trading card authentication and grading company in the world. As the only third-party grading service to offer a guarantee on its services, PSA has emerged as the clear leader in authentication and grading for trading cards and other collectibles. By putting your card onto a PSA Slab, it can preserve its condition and potentially increase the value exponentially.

Firstly: You need to determine the condition of your card and then make a judgement on the approximate grade based on the criteria that PSA uses here.

Secondly: Once you determine the approximate grade of your card, do a search from eBay or use other platforms like TnT to get an Approximate Value.

Thirdly: Then look at our Main page to determine a Service where your Approximate Value is less than or equal to it's Maximum Declared Value.

Fourthly: Browse throught the FAQs on this page to have a better understanding of the Whole Submission Process.

Lastly: Once you are ready, head to our online form on our Main page to start the submission process.

STEP 1: Fill up and submit the online form before the deadline to express your interest.

STEP 2: Once the submission goes active with minimum numbers met, we will contact you with instructions to drop off/ship your cards.

STEP 3: Arrange to drop off or ship the cards to us and then make Payment via Paynow/Paylah or Cash.

STEP 4: Once cards are shipped to PSA, we will be providing regular updates for your assigned group on Order Status Page.

STEP 5: When PSA grading process is completed (Shipped Stage), we will contact you to view your grades by logging in to Order Tracker on Order Status Page.

STEP 6: Finally, once cards arrived in SG, we will contact you to schedule collection (Free) or shipping (At additional cost).

A: For Bulk/Value Service Submission, Cards take approximately 5-7 business days to ship from SG to PSA headquarters.   From the time of delivery, it may take up to *2 weeks to enter an order into the PSA system for processing.   After they are entered, they take approximately *2-4 Months to grade your cards. *Please note that the turnaround time is subject to change and entirely dependent on PSA. Once they are graded they take approximately 7 business days to be returned.

For Expedited Service Level, Cards take approximately 5-7 business days to ship from SG to PSA headquarters. From the time of delivery, it may take up to *1 weeks to enter an order into the PSA system for processing. After they are entered, they take approximately *1-2 Months (Depending on the service level you select) to grade your cards. Once they are graded they take approximately 7 business days to be returned.

For accurate representation of current turnaround time for each service, please refer to the Turnaround Time section above.

A: The grading fees depends on the Declared Value of your cards. Once you determine the Declared Value of your card, you choose a service closest to its Maximum Declared Value. For pricing, you can refer to our main page.

Once you decide on which service you are sending for your cards, you can use the Submission Form on the main page as a Calculator to work out the fees by selecting the service, input the quantities you are sending, key in any random description and random declared value. Then click the SAVE button to display the fees.

A: The Declared Value is your estimate of the value of the item after it has been assigned a grade by PSA. This is what PSA will use as a replacement value should something happen to your card(s) while they are at PSA's premises. (If you are unsure, we recommend you to put the maximum declared amount of the particular category that you are submitting.)

A good reference will be from eBay by searching for recently sold price of your card in the approximate grade. You can make a judgement on the approximate grade based on the criteria that PSA uses here. Usually card grading is based on 4 main criteria: Centering, Corners, Edge and Surface.

A: If you deem your card as highly valuable which is way above the maximum declared value even under raw status, we strongly recommend you to use Expedited Service Levels with accurate representation of your card value instead, for much faster turnaround times and also minimize any delay if PSA require you to pay for upcharge.

A: If PSA determines in its sole discretion, the submitted Declared Value has been understated relative to the market value of the item, PSA reserves the right to decline your stated Declared Value. PSA may require you to pay for the accurate Service level with grading fees as per the table above, depending on the market value of the card after grading.

Example 1: You send your card under Value Plus service with declared value of up to US$499. But if the card is worth say US$900 after graded instead then PSA may upcharge the fee difference between Value Plus and Regular as Regular Service covers Max Declared Value up till US$1499. This is for their insurance coverage when shipping the cards back to us. Hence you will need to top up the difference of the service level from Value Plus (US$40) to Regular (US$75). In this example, you would need to top up US$35 (US$75-US$40).

Example 2: You send your card under Value Plus service with declared value of up to US$499. But if the card is worth say US$2400 after graded instead then PSA may upcharge the fee difference between Value Plus and Express as Express Service covers Max Declared Value up till US$2499. This is for their insurance coverage when shipping the cards back to us. Hence you will need to top up the difference of the service level from Value Plus (US$40) to Express (US$150). In this example, you would need to top up US$110 (US$150-US$40).

A: The Grading Fees are inclusive of GST, FedEx International Priority shipping to USA and back to Singapore and also insurance up to the Maximum Declared Value of the submission from PSA back to Singapore. However, your Cards maybe subjected to an additional "upcharge" fee from PSA depending on how much the card is worth after grading. You will be responsible for this charge.

A: Currently, for USD payment, a conversion of 1.5 to SGD will be applied (This is to account for the bank FX charges and also 7% GST when shipping back to SG). In an event, we are charged higher than conversion rate of 1.5, you will need to top up the difference.

A: PSA grades in order on the submission form, so we keep a spreadsheet of that order and we will know whose cards they belong to. We will enter all of your cards and then all of the next person cards. We don't group duplicates together. Additionally, we will take pictures and videos of every order we received.

Nevertheless, although we do our due diligence to ensure cards are not mixed up, we have to highlight the fact that we cannot guarantee PSA will do the same, as the cards will exchange multiple hands at PSA. Ultimately, it's based on trust and integrity on all parties. Hence, if you are not comfortable with this, we suggest it may be a better option to do your own submission.

A: We want to be here in the long run helping the community and it is not in our interest to ruin our business and reputation over a card. Nevertheless, we will take pictures and videos of every orders we received so that we can review together in the event of any dispute. Again, ultimately, its based on trust and integrity on all parties. Hence, if you are not comfortable with this, we suggest it may be a better option to do your own submission.

We offer promotions by giving out coupon code from time to time.. Please refer to our price guide on our main page.

A: Once submission goes active with minimum quantities met, you will receive an email or whatsapp with instructions to arrange a drop off at either Boon Keng Area/MRT or Kembangan Area/MRT and then make payment (Paynow, Paylah or Cash) during the meetup. A handover form will be provided for both parties to sign or electronic form will be emailed to you.

Mailing option is available. However, we strongly DO NOT recommend you to mail the cards to us but if you choose to do so, we will not be responsible for any lost, damaged or delayed mail.

A: Once cards are shipped to PSA, we will be providing regular updates for your assigned group on Order Status Page. Or alternatively, you can log in to Order Tracker on Order Status Page.

A: No, but we may look into that in the future.

A: The Reholder service applies to trading cards that are currently graded and encapsulated by PSA that the customer would like placed into the most current PSA holder. For this submission type, *the cards will not be graded. The cards will be received and then inspected by a member of the grading team to determine if the card and PSA holder are authentic. Once it is determined that the holder and card are genuine, the card will be removed and placed into a new PSA holder. This service is generally used for cards that are housed in PSA holders that have been damaged, or to create label consistency within a collection. - Source from PSA

*All items will be automatically reholdered UNLESS (1) the sonic weld on the PSA case shows signs of tampering or (2) the PSA case is fractured over the item itself. If the case is fractured over/near the item, it will be examined raw to ensure it has not sustained damage and that the original grade is still valid. .

A: Crossover grading is for cards previously graded by other companies that you wish to cross over into a PSA holder. PSA will evaluate the card inside its current holder. If PSA deems the card worthy to cross over at the customer’s *specified minimum grade or higher, the card will be removed from its holder and placed into a PSA holder. Regardless of the result, the grading price will be charged. Minimum Grade is the lowest grade that you are willing to accept from PSA, anything lower will not be crossed over into a PSA holder. PSA will grade your item in the existing holder and will only remove it and encapsulate it in a PSA holder if your item meets or exceeds the minimum grade. If your item doesn’t meet the minimum grade, it is returned to you in the original holder. - Source from PSA

*Specify your Minimum Grade in the Comments section when filling up the form. If No Minimum Grade is specified, the card will be evaluate and crossover to PSA.

A: No, we are not offering this service.

A: There will be a minimum submission of 2 cards (Total) for Bulk, Value and Economy Category.

A: Yes, Card Savers will be provided Free of charge. However, we do recommend you to submit cards in card savers so that we can minimize handling of your cards raw by transferring them from Top Loaders to Card Savers.

A: For Card Sleeves, we noticed some submitters are using multiple sleeves and those tighter fitting ones. As such, we do recommend you to use just 1 Ultra Pro Standard Card Sleeve or any other brands which are wider and easier for the grader to remove the card for appraisal.

A: If you do not receive the confirmation message within a few minutes of submission, please check your Spam or Bulk E-Mail folder just in case the confirmation email got delivered there instead of your inbox. If so, select the confirmation message and mark it Not Spam, which should allow future messages to get through.

A: This is our way to give something back to our submitters for their support, where submitters enjoy different loyalty rewards depending on their tier. Tiers will be based on the total amount spent with us.

Currently, we have Bronze, Silver (>$2500), Gold (>$5000), Platinum (>$10000) Tiers. Rewards will be given from time to time and subject to our discretion.

A: We have the necessary expertise, track record, logistical processes and documentation in place to help you with submitting your cards to PSA for grading.

We are also a team of card enthusiasts for many years and reputable sellers on eBay/Carousell. Currently we do not have a store or office. However, this is our passion and we are doing it out of our own free time and we genuinely want to give SG/MY community an avenue to consolidate and send cards to PSA.
